VJ performance in front of colorful visuals

I'm AMAGI (aka Jun Yuri), a graphics and Web developer based in Vancouver, Canada.

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. After I got a CS degree, I worked as a Web dev & Unity dev in Kyoto, Japan. In 2023, I moved to Canada with my wife and my daughter.

My expertise is in Web & graphics programming. I started my career as a web dev, writing JavaScript / Perl and all the web stuff. Then I shifted my focus to graphics, creating games and art installations. Recently, I've been writing Rust for most of my work, doing VFX, image processing, text rendering, etc.

I also love doing VJ / audio-visual stuff. I make algorithmic visuals with TouchDesigner and my own VJ software. In 2025 I performed with my friends at MUTEK 2025 in Montreal.

in Lotusland is my scratchpad; I write about random stuff from tech to weekend activities. My code may be AI-generated, but all the writing is my own.
